Job description

Assistant Project Manager - Dublin based Fit-Out Main Contractor

I'm currently recruiting for a Main Contractor based in Dublin. My client has a Construction (Externals) division, as well as a Fit-Out (Internals) division. The group currently turnover just shy of £270m and have secured an interesting pipeline of projects to undertake over the next 5years. My client is headquartered in Dublin with offices around London and Northern Ireland.

Due to an increase in workload, their Design & Build division now require an Assistant Project Manager to help the already established delivery team on sites across Dublin and Ireland. The ideal candidate should be dynamic and agile, being very hands-on in their approach and not afraid to get stuck in to achieve deadlines to a high-quality finish.

I am looking to speak with self-motivated and hardworking individuals who have a passion to grow and excel within this new role as an Assistant Project Manager. Suitable candidates should have the view to progress up the 'delivery/site' team hierarchy to a Project Manager, with the view to become a Director one day.

Although a Degree isn't needed in all circumstances, the ideal candidate should already possess hands-on construction site experience as an electrician, carpenter, plumber or other trade.

This role will include shadowing and partaking in the overall Project Management and Delivery on a Design & Build site. This role will also include attending client meetings and client liaison, so you won't always be based on site.

The package for the role includes a basic salary of circa €45,000 plus a package that includes a quarterly bonus, private healthcare, car allowance, gadgets, expenses (hotel costs, travel costs, etc.)

Team building is the main focus of my client, so regular trips away can be expected. This really is a great opportunity for someone with existing site experience on the tools to take the next step up in their career into Project Management.

An interest in design and a knowledge of costs would be beneficial
