Role Profile

Key Responsibilities:
• To repair and maintain a broad range of communications equipment and systems to specific service level agreements

• To deal with customers in a courteous and professional manner, thereby maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction

• Plan and progress preventative maintenance schedules in co-ordination with Service Manager to fulfil existing contractual obligations

Typical Deliverables

Key Deliverables:
• To deal with customers in a courteous and professional manner, thereby maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction

• Plan and progress preventative maintenance schedules in co-ordination with Service Manager to fulfil existing contractual obligations

• To take ownership for the diagnostic and resolutions of faults, both simple and protracted, while working as an individual or as part of a team, possibly in demanding circumstances

• To ensure appropriate documentation is in place to facilitate easy diagnosis of fault and easy access to customer sites & premises

• To participate in a shift roster, as well as participating in an on-call rota to provide 24/7 service support to telent’s customer base

Business Operations Skills:

Experience:

• Experienced in installing & maintaining communications systems including some of the following:

o Radio

o Audio

o Data Communications

o IT Fixed & Mobile Infrastructure, PCs, Servers & Mobile installations

o Local Area & Wide Area Networks

o Microwave Links & Multiplexors

• Experienced in the use of Programming /Diagnostic software and a good level of IT knowledge

• Good customer facing skills, to be able to maintain customer confidence whilst performing maintenance activities

• Ownership and commitment to resolve complex and/or protracted faults either on individual or team basis

• Ability to use own initiative, sometimes under pressure whilst under direct customer scrutiny

• Be able to demonstrate excellent written & verbal communication skills, both internally and externally

• Successful applicants must have a full clean driving licence and be able to go through Security Clearance.

Qualifications:

A qualification in one or more of the following disciplines:
Radio
Audio
Data Communications
IT Fixed & Mobile Infrastructure, PCs, Servers & Mobile installations
Local Area & Wide Area Networks
Microwave Links & Multiplexors
Experienced in the use of Programming /Diagnostic software and a good level of IT knowledge
