If you are a skilled technician in communication equipment and systems and have experience in the Emergency Services environment then this could be the opportunity you are looking for?

Role Profile

Within the role of Field Maintenance Technician you will be required to maintain a broad range of communications equipment and systems to specific service level agreements. You will be customer facing and must ensure a high level of customer satisfaction at all times.

The role is working within a mission critical environment so the ability to keep calm under pressure and take ownership of problems and see them through is key.

Typical Deliverables

Within the role you will be responsible for the below activities:

Repair and maintain Communication equipment
*

Adhere to customer specific service level agreements
*

Deal with customers in a courteous and professional manner
*

Develop and maintain customer relations and maintain high customer satisfaction levels
*

Plan and implement preventative maintenance schedules to fulfil contractual obligations
*

Own diagnostic and resolutions of faults
*

Work as an individual or as part of a team
*

Ensure appropriate documentation is in place to help easily diagnose faults
*

Manage your time effectively
*

Ensure access to customer premises is in place
*

Be part of an on-call rota to provide 24/7 service support to the customer base
*

Promote an effective Safety, Health and Environment culture to ensure a healthy working environment
*

Maintain a secure working environment in line with our policies

Experience

We will be looking for candidates with experience in the below:

Installing and maintaining communication systems. Including:

*

Radio
*

Audio
*

Data Communications
*

IT Fixed & Mobile Infrastructure, PC’s, Servers & Mobile installations
*

Local Area & Wide area Networks
*

Microwave Links & Multiplexors

*

Programming /Diagnostic software
*

Working in a mission critical service environment
*

An Understanding of Emergency Services Communication Systems

Skills

Full valid Driving Licence

Strong IT Literacy
*

Good Interpersonal and communication skills
*

Ability to communciate clearly both verbally and written and in particular on technical matters

Great customer facing skills

Ability to take ownership or problems to completion
